Mr. Masajiro Ueno founded UENO & Company.

1935
From our efforts on research and development on an antifungal agent for soy sauce, “Mekkins®”, the first food additives was launched.

1953
Mr. Masajiro Ueno founded UENO FINE CHEMICALS INDUSTRY, LTD.

1972
Dr. Ryuzo Ueno was inaugurated as the 2nd Generation President and CEO of UENO FINE CHEMICALS INDUSTRY, LTD.

1975
“Prebest®TP”, quality improver for frozen surimi (fish paste), was first introduced to Japan’s market.

1988
UENO FINE CHEMICALS INDUSTRY (THAILAND), LTD. was established and started constructing a factory at Bangpoo Industrial Estate, Samut Prakan.

1989
Sorbitol Compound “Prebest®TP” which was the first product of UENO FINE CHEMICALS INDUSTRY (THAILAND), LTD. was manufactured and distributed.

1990
The Grand Opening Ceremony for Bangpoo Factory was held.

1991
Maltitol and Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysates Syrup was first manufactured and distributed.

1992
Premix Sorbitol Compound was manufactured and distributed.

1994
Sorbitol Powder and Premix Sorbitol (NSS-17) was manufactured and distributed.

1996
Our company participated the Royal Project in Thailand and started the test cultivation of Azuki bean (Japanese red bean).

1997
Our company succeeded in planting Azuki bean (Japanese red bean) in highland of Thailand as the Royal Project.

1998
“TP2”, new sorbitol powder production line, was equipped.

2000
The quality management system was qualified and certified as
ISO 9002:1994. -
2001
Dr. Ryuzo Ueno was conferred the commander (Third Class) of the Most Admirable Order of the Direkgunabhorn from H.M. King Rama IX.
Premix Maltitol products (MS-17) was manufactured and distributed.
The environmental management system was qualified and certified as ISO 14001:1996.

2002
Quality management system certification was upgraded from ISO 9002:1994 to ISO 9001:2000.

2003
Mr. Masaya Ueno was inaugurated as the 3rd Generation President and CEO of UENO FINE CHEMICALS INDUSTRY, LTD.

2004 – 2005
GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), HACCP and HALAL Certification were granted.
Maltitol Powder was manufactured and distributed.

2006
DCS (Distributed Control System) was equipped to improve and control process in powder plant.
Environmental management system certification was upgraded from ISO 14001:1996 to ISO 14001:2004.

2007
New Sanitary Product “CIDALLY®” was manufactured and distributed.
KOSHER certification was granted to sweetener products.

2008
The company celebrated 90th Anniversary of UENO Group and 20th Anniversary of UENO FINE CHEMICALS INDUSTRY (THAILAND), LTD.
The 1st UENO Food Safety Seminar was held in Thailand.
New Sanitary Product “KILLBACT®” was manufactured and distributed.
A new warehouse equipped with an automated control system was constructed.

The 2nd UENO Food Safety Seminar was held in Thailand.
Quality management system certification was upgraded from ISO 9001:2000 to ISO 9001:2008.

2010
UENO SCIENCE TECH LABORATORY (THAILAND), LTD. (USTL) was established.
The 3rd UENO Food Safety Seminar was held in Thailand.

2011
The 4th UENO Food Safety Seminar was held in Thailand.

2012
UENO SCIENCE TECH LABORATORY (THAILAND), LTD. (USTL) held grand opening ceremony.

2013
The company introduced “KEEP LONG Series”, a shelf life extension product, to the market.
The 5th UENO Food Safety Seminar “Shelf Life Extension of Food” was held in Thailand.

2016
FSSC 22000 and ISO 22000:2005 certification were granted to guarantee the food safety management system.
UENO FINE CHEMICALS INDUSTRY, LTD. spun off the food division and UENO FOOD TECHNO INDUSTRY, LTD. was established.

2017
UENO FINE CHEMICALS INDUSTRY (THAILAND), LTD. organized UENO SCIENCE TECH LABORATORY (THAILAND), LTD. as research and development division.

2018
The FSSC 22000 certification was upgraded from version 3.2 to version 4.1.
Environmental management systems was upgraded from ISO 14001:2004 to ISO 14001:2015.

The company launches a New Research and Development building at Bangpoo Factory.
The 6th UENO Food Safety Seminar “Sweetener with more function in food” was held in Thailand.

Alcohol based hand sanitizer
“KB-HAND” was manufactured and distributed.
The FSSC 22000 certification was upgraded from version 4.1 to version 5. -
2021
Ethanol emitter “ALVO®” was
manufactured and distributed.
